Alnico Disc Magnets
Grade 8 Alnico Disc Magnets
Alnico disc magnets are part of the permanent magnet family and relatively high in magnetic strength. Grade 8 alnico discs offer excellent temperature stability and can be used at temperatures up to 1000ºF (500ºC). Because of their temperature stability and relatively high magnetic strength, alnico disc magnets are ideal for many industrial applications, such as rotating machinery, meters, instruments, sensing devices holding applications and more.
Sintered & Cast Alnico Disc Magnets
We carry a large inventory of grade 8, sintered or cast alnico disc & cylinder magnets, from smaller size disc magnets measuring 0.25” in diameter to larger cylinder magnets up to 0.75” in diameter. Not all of our disc magnets are shown on this website. Contact us today or send us a special request and let us know what you are looking for.
* $15.00 total minimum order (excluding shipping & tax if applicable) - Items can be combined to reach the minimum amount.

Standard Dimensional Tolerances for Alnico Disc Magnets
Generally the tolerance on Alnico Disc Magnets is +/-0.005" on diameter and thickness.
Alnico Disc Magnet Manufacturing Methods
Alnico disc magnets are manufactured through either a casting or sintering process. They can be made into complex shapes such as horseshoes, which is not possible to do with other magnet materials.
Applications for Alnico Disc Magnets
Alnico disc magnets are relatively high in magnetic strength and offer excellent temperature stability (they can be used in temperatures up to 1000°F/500°C). They are ideal for industrial, technical and consumer applications, where temperature stability is critical. Common applications for alnico disc magnets include:
